Meetup for BlackBerry 4.2.8 and 4.2.9

I ended up releasing two quick fixes for different bugs. The firs release, 4.2.8, was to fix a simple issue with authentication to the Meetup.com website for the application. A while ago, Meetup changed their API to use a different method for making calls. With this update, they changed the URLs for the calls, which actually made things easier. I had gone through and updated all the URLs for my app at some point and basically forgot about it. I’m guessing that those old URLs were finally deprecated and that shut off the application authentication call that I was pointing Continue reading Meetup for BlackBerry 4.2.8 and 4.2.9

Chart js and the Tool Tip

I assume that every developer likes to know how the things that they make are being used by those who use it, to some extent. In the mobile app world, it isn’t the best idea to track every move the user makes, but you could do it, if you plan on making your customers a little annoyed with you. Meetup for BlackBerry 4.2.7

Meetup for BlackBerry 10 by DeanLogic version 4.2.7 is now available for download. As with the 4.2.6 release, this release is meant to give the user the Leave Group option for a Meetup group. There also isn’t a warning to keep your from leaving a group by accident either.  So, use with caution, because you have to use the site to Join a Group.  As stated  before, the Join Group steps are different based on the group Continue reading Meetup for BlackBerry 4.2.7

Meetup for BlackBerry 10 release 1.1.3

I just got the update 1.1.3 for my Meetup for BlackBerry 10 app in BlackBerry World. I didn’t put in all the changes that I wanted to, mostly because of issues that came up while I was making the upgrade. Beyond my computer having problems, Meetup had a DDoS attack, which brought the app down for over a week. Unfortunately for my app reviews, a few people downloaded the app during that time and couldn’t get the app working. Because of that, I decided to release the app with what I had changed and then start another version with some Continue reading Meetup for BlackBerry 10 release 1.1.3
